The settings keep resetting to 40Hz display for some reason. My display is set to 60Hz in my graphics driver settings. Also, I've got the game on both linux (xubuntu) and windows 10 on the same machine (dual boot) and the issue only appears on the windows build. Any ideas why?
Game for Mac, Linux and Windows is built from the same source. If something works on one platform and doesn't on other, than problem is somewhere between unity engine and OS. What resolution and Fullscreen mode are you trying to use? Default resolution?
Yeah, I set it to native 1366x768, 60Hz fullscreen, save, hit back, then go again only to find its reverted back to 40Hz. Does the same on other resolutions too. I'll try reinstalling the game or resetting my windows graphics settings and see if that fixes it.
In all Fullscreen modes (except "Exclusive"), game will use default refresh rate of monitor. For example, i have 60hz monitor and game can show resolutions with @75, but i will not have @75 in windowed, borderless, or fullscreen modes. Only in Exclusive mode.
It doesn't matter what you see when you re-open settings. Maybe it shows wrong refresh rate.
I don't think your refresh rate is actually @40. Turn on "Show frame-rate" and vSync. Then switch Fullscreen modes and you will see refresh rate in your frame rate. Frame rate can show up slightly higher then refresh rate, but you will see if it's around 40, or 60.

photon works fine in your project, there is no problem of ping and freezing, but when I add it to my project, the characters are stuck, there is a ping problem. What can I do ?
I assume you are doing something wrong. Problem can be pretty much anywhere. You must be experienced programmer before you jump on multiplayer. If you are beginner, then don't waste your time.
I mean the game is still in development, we don't really expect characters when there's only FOUR fully textured maps. It has been taken into consideration long ago. it's OneManArmy's game, he decides what and when to implement stuff. I don't know though, we might start seeing different characters in the future! :)

Game is in development = it doesn't make any money, so there is no money to spend on advertising. If you want to see higher online, then record some gameplay videos and upload on youtube.

You downloaded game manually, or via itch.io app? And what error message do you see when game closes?

Yeah, Vsync does confirm it's running at 60. It's just the settings menu showing the wrong configuration. Thanks for the response :)

for now only air strafing (without gaining speed) is enabled. Bhop mode will come with one of map editor updates.
